Membership Eligibility

Eligibility Information

All postal or federal employees may make application for membership in this organization. Each member of the Alliance must belong to the local in the postal or federal installation where he or she is employed. At installations where no local has been established, employees shall belong to the nearest local within their district, except that present members-at-large may remain as such.

Membership Divisions

  • The Retirees' division is composed of members who are retired or meet the qualifications described in Article III, Section 4f. of the Constitution.
  • The Management Division is composed of members who hold supervisory positions.

Federal Credit Union

Mission and Purpose: Credit Unions are people-oriented financial institutions. They are non-profit cooperatives, formed, owned and operated for a single purpose: to help members help one another financially. The first credit union in the United States was established more than 87 years ago. The NAPFE Auxiliary


The mission of the Auxiliary is to assist the Alliance in legislation activities and social programs.

Leon Henderson for their outstanding leadership of the Union and for their dedicated efforts on behalf of their fellowman as personified by their deep involvement in civic, community, and fraternal affairs throughout their adult life.
